I AM SOMEBODY FOUNDATION Inc. is a dynamic 501(c)(3) youth organization based in South Florida, dedicated to the art of film production. Established in 2010, our foundation aims to empower and inspire young individuals by providing them with invaluable opportunities in the world of filmmaking.
At I AM SOMEBODY FOUNDATION, we believe in the transformative power of film and its ability to amplify voices, create change, and shape our society. Through our Film 101 programs, after-school programs, and workshops, we equip youth with essential skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience in all aspects of the film production process.
Our comprehensive Film 101 programs are designed to introduce aspiring filmmakers to the fundamentals of storytelling, cinematography, directing, editing, and more. These programs serve as a launchpad for young talents, fostering their creativity and nurturing their passion for the cinematic arts.
In addition to our educational programs, we provide unique opportunities for our youth to step onto real film sets. Through partnerships with local production companies and filmmakers, we facilitate on-set experiences, allowing our participants to witness firsthand the magic of film-making. From assisting the crew to observing actors in action, these experiences are invaluable in shaping their understanding of the industry and sparking their aspirations.
